The Sami Parliament in Norway wants Sami languages to be a natural and living part of everyday life for everyone, and therefore invites to Sami language week, October 21 – October 27, 2019. Through Sami language week, the Sami Parliament wants to focus on visibility of Sami languages, in all parts of the society.

La mesa de diálogo consiste en una intervención de cinco experiencias que combinan los enfoques académico y práctico en torno a, los diversos factores que intervienen en la articulación de proyectos culturales que buscan el fortalecimiento, dinamización y revitalización de lenguas originarias mexicanas. El propósito es dialogar sobre aquellos puntos de encuentro y desencuentro posibles entre las y los agentes culturales y las comunidades que intervienen en proyectos con este objetivo.

At the Lowitja Institute International Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Conference 2019 delegates from around the world will discuss the role of First Nations in leading change and will showcase Indigenous solutions. The conference program will highlight ways of thinking, speaking and being for the benefit of Indigenous peoples everywhere. Join Indigenous leaders, researchers, health professionals, decision makers, community representatives, and our non-Indigenous colleagues in this important conversation.

ICLDA 2019 aims to bring together researchers and language activists whose main area of interest are relationships between language and development in African context. We welcome scholars and language activists who are interested in language economy and ecology, language contact and linguistic diversity, language endangerment, description, documentation and revitalization, language maintenance, policy and planning in developing societies where traditional life styles and communicative practices are challenged by the need for development. Our special area of interest will be the place and role of African indigenous languages in the industrialization agendas of developing countries as well as their potential to help governments and NGOs reach the Millennium development goals.

It is a cultural training for students & teachers and members of the indigenous community.

This annual librarians conference is called Spring Gathering, and it is attended by First Nation (Indigenous) librarians from across the Province of Ontario. This conference is also open to the general public. This year the theme is International Year of Indigenous Languages.
