Événements culturels
Constanta Literature and the Arts Festival – CLAFest 2019 will take place between June 17 and June 19, 2019 preceding The Annual Lecture on Exile in Comparative Literature and the Arts – ALECLA 2019 .
CLAFest helps writers, artists, speakers, and people from isolated, minority cultures and threatened languages to find each other and to create deeper connections between their cultures. Our goal is to point out the problem of each threatened language and culture and call attention to it, to show solidarity, emerge with solutions and secure our future. CLAFest 2019 bridges the gaps between small and large cultures and celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity. It features free public events for any age – including readings, book launches, meeting authors, book and art exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses, film screenings, and art shows. As 2019 is UNESCO’s International Year of Indigenous Languages , this year CLAFest focuses on the theme of Indigenous Languages and Literature. CLAFest 2019 also intends to be an opportunity for migrants and refugees to tell their stories, providing honest insight into their triumphs and tribulations. Most of the festival program will be self-generated by its participants. To make a proposal for the festival please contact the Secretariat at friends@anticusmulticultural.org .
