Kapi‘olani Community College International Festival

Every year in March, our campus holds an International Festival to highlight our many programs that emphasize Hawai‘i, Asia and the Pacific, as well as other countries and cultures. Each year, the festival has a theme which helps to bring coherence to the events that are included in the program. This year, because it is the International Year of Indigenous Languages, we have decided on the theme INDIGENEITY. We are planning events that highlight indigenous languages and cultures. Many of our lectures, films and performances will touch on language endangerment and revitalization and indigenous identity.
