Outdoor Art Exhibition Launch: Flight of Bundjil, the Eaglehawk

Bundjil the eaglehawk is a key figure in Australian Aboriginal folklore. In celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the first Australians, we are commissioning a series of outdoor public artworks dedicated to the Bundjil creation story across nbn ™ access network telecommunications cabinets within the South Melbourne and Port Melbourne areas. Each cabinet will display a section of the story in native language  – and also the English translation.

This event will be the launch of this initiative which will compose of the following agenda:

1. Welcome to Country address by local elder
2. Overview of the project and future artworks
3. Artist background, artwork specifics and the broader story of Bundjil
